Is the color of your skin, the type of church you attend or the flag you live under more important than the color of your heart?

There are times when we get prideful about who we are, or when or where we worship the LORD our God and even that our nation is the best - be careful - IT IS ALL PRIDE!

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I (God) hate.
Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom.
Proverbs 13:10 By pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well-advised is wisdom.
Proverbs 14:3 In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise will preserve them.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

The LORD our God is telling us something, are we listening?  Any pride, which includes skin color, where we go to church or which flag we live under, is WRONG!

Why is our LORD telling us about our pride?

The LORD our God is telling us that OUR pride will lead to destruction, OUR pride shows others that we are a fool, OUR pride will bring shame to ourselves and the LORD hates pride.  He wants us to have a full life WITH Him.
Will we follow the leading of our LORD or listen to the back patting of our own pride?

Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.  Which of these will be said about you?  Will you become LOW or retain your HONOR in the LORD?
Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  A heart of stone is gray in color but a heart of flesh is red.  Remember this, you can’t remove the gray stone heart - only God can and He wants to.  He wants to give you a red heart of flesh!

2 Corinthians 3:3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (JESUS) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

It is clear, no matter where in the Holy Scriptures you read, that our LORD God is for us and loves us and wants to do good for us!

So, what color is your heart?

Is the LORD our God more important that your skin color or the color of someone else’s skin?

Is your church the only place to worship the LORD our God or can God teach in a different way in a different church and have the same message?

Does the LORD our God love your nation as much as He loves other nations?

Isaiah 56:7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations."
Luke 24:47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Romans 16:26 but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith ---

Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

Confess the sin of your pride now and allow the LORD your God release you from your bondage of guilt.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 6:8 Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Ask Him to remove the gray stone heart and give you a red flesh heart today!  He will and He wants to.

Blessed be the Name of our LORD and Savior - Jesus.

How can I become a bondservant of Jesus

How do I become a bondservant of the LORD Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High?

First we must understand what a bondservant is.

Greek - Doulos is the Greek word for bondservant

What is a bondservant?

·       A bondservant is someone that chooses to serve someone

·       Bondservant means one who is subservient to and entirely at the disposal of his master.  Usually one step above the slave.   During Roman times, many times a person would voluntarily serve someone and would become devoted to that person.

·       A bondservant has a higher position with the master than a slave
o   Exodus 21:5 & 6 But if the servant (Slave) plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,' (the man may be free but his wife and kids still belongs to the master) then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him (the slave) to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
·       Someone that will forever wear the mark of this Master forever.
o   An awl looks like an ice pick and is a tool which is used to punch a hole in leather.
o   It became traditional to put in a gold earring after the awl was removed because the hole in the ear would close and not be seen.
o   That slave could never go free again - he was bonded to his master. He could never be sold. He became more than just a slave; he became a servant who was permanently attached -- bonded -- to his master, he now was a bondservant
o   The Hebrews viewed the ear not only as the means of hearing but also symbolically linked the ear to obedience.

What is the difference between a slave and a bondservant?

·       A slave was a piece of property and could be kill for any reason but a bondservant could not be killed
·       A slave was usually bought and not paid for their work but a bondservant usually was paid
·       A slave could be sold a bondservant could not be sold and in some ways, this was an adoption of the servant by the master.
·       From a level of an animal to a human level and sometimes to the level of a family member
·       A slave serves because that's their job and a bondservant serves from the heart

Are there examples of bondservants in the Bible?

·       Even the Messiah is called God’s Servant (Isaiah 53:11) and in Mark 9:35, Jesus taught that the greatest in God’s kingdom would have to become “the servant of all

·       Today we consider ourselves as bondservants of Christ (1 Corinthians 7:22; Ephesians 6:6; 2 Timothy 2:24). He is our Lord, and our allegiance is due to Him alone.

·       As bondservants, we renounce other masters (Matthew 6:24) and give ourselves totally to Him (Matthew 16:24).

·       Being a bondservant of Christ is not drudgery. His “burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). Also, we have this promise: “Now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life” (Romans 6:22).

·       2 Peter 1:1 through 2 Peter 1:12 give a good example of a bondservant

·       The Children of Israel were servants - 'for the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 25:55)
·       Moses was a servant - God Himself says so. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. (Numbers 12:7)

·       David was a servant - I am Your servant; Give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies. (Psa. 119:125)

·       Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes. (Psalms 119:135)
·       Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. (Psalms 119:140

·       James 1:1 “James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings

The Jewish nation believes that a bondservant of God is an honorable position.

What are some of the qualities of a bondservant?

·       Virtue
·       Knowledge
·       Self-control
·       Perseverance
·       Godliness
·       Brotherly
·       Kindness
·       Love

Points of being a bondservant:

a.      emptied of self,

8.     A Bondservant of Christ sees his/her life of service as a grateful, dutiful, and loving response to God and not something for which he/she expects to be thanked by the Master. (Luke 17:7-10; Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 6:5-8)

So how do I become a bondservant of the LORD Jesus?

·       Accept Him as your King

·       Questions I need to ask-
o   Do I want to serve my church

Daughters of the American Revolution

Daughters of the American Revolution

I heard from a Pastor on Christian Radio that the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) took the name ‘Jesus’ out of all their documents.  When I check this out I found that they didn't remove the name of Jesus but they are trying to stay in line with the American believe of freedom of religion - which is their way of being politically Correct.  We know that America was built on Christian values not Muslim or Buddha or anyone else’s values.

Did DAR really remove the Name of Jesus from all documents?

They say NO!
